How do I book?
We exclusively use online booking. You can access that here or by using the square go app. Explore your options and request a new or existing client session with the stylist of your choice. We do not offer walk-in appointments and request that you please do not come into the salon hoping to book with someone in person.

What are your hours? Can I pop in and buy product?
We are open by appointment only. Check with your stylist to see when someone will be in the salon.

How do I get here?
We are located at 734 W 7th Ave. We have a parking lot that sometimes fills up. If that’s the case when you arrive, please feel free to find street parking. Ps. We cannot condone parallel parking along the fence as those are technically not parking slots.

How do I contact my stylist?
Stylist’s contact info can be found on the meet our stylists page or within the stylist’s bio. Check your stylists bio/instagram/website to discover how they want to be contacted. Each stylist has preferred contact methods - so please get in touch accordingly!

How much will my service be?
Most of our stylists have adopted a flat rate hourly session pricing model. This means that you can now know the cost of your service (for the most part) ahead of time. If you have specific questions about your session, check with your stylist directly.

How do I choose a hair stylist?
Fill out our inquiry form or read through our stylists bios. Many showcase their portfolio of work on their instagram - so that can be a great place to get inspo. Ultimately, we want you to choose the stylist that intuitively feels like a fit for you.

No phone number?
That’s right! Our salon intentionally doesn’t have a designated phone number. If you have general questions, please look through our FAQ’s and if your question isn’t answered feel free to email us and we’ll get back to you ASAP.

I’m new, what do I book?
Please book a new client haircut session or new client color consultation.

I’m an existing client , what do I book?
Regardless of how long it’s been, your stylist is the one who can tell you what to book. Reach out to them directly to get their thoughts on the best appointment type for your needs.

I got my hair done, but now I’m unhappy with it. What can I do?
Please reach out to your stylist directly to figure out a solution. Please note we do not offer refunds for products or services but will work with you to find a reasonable solution.

How should I arrive with my hair to my hair appointment?
We recommend coming to your appt with clean, air dried hair (or the way you intend to wear it). Note: If you are lightening your hair on the scalp (e.g., bleaching all over or at the roots) - this is best done on dirty hair to provide your scalp with a barrier. All other color services should happen on clean, dry hair.

I’m thrilled with my hair, how can I show my appreciation?
We are so happy you love you hair! Please leave us a review

I’m a stylist and am interested in working here! Are you hiring? Are you our next addition??
We are seeking stylists who have had some experience working behind the chair. This is not a place to get started. This is a place to bring the experience you’ve gained so far (preferably 2 year minimum and experience renting is a plus!) Learn more about who our salon is right for here.

What is your cancellation policy?
We have a 24 hr cancellation policy. If you cancel without at least 24 hours notice or no show you will be charged 100% of your appt cost. That being said, we do not want sick people in the salon. If you wake up the morning of your appt and are sick, please communicate with your stylist directly to decide what’s best. We will work with you to find the best solution.

Who owns the collective?
Chelsea Caisse is the owner and co-founder of The Collective. She believes in the pursuit of sustainable living, leading with love, and choosing people and the planet over profit. She’s here to dismantle the patriarchy, help others discover non-toxic products and living, and is an advocate for body autonomy. At The Collective, we do our best to support women, small businesses, and local makers whenever we can. We're always learning, growing, and leaning into wellness as a way of life.

What does non-toxic mean?
To us, toxic is both tangible and intangible. We steer clear of harmful chemicals—and we do the same with toxic mindsets and culture. We believe in integrity, transparency, compassion, grace, love, emotional intelligence, personal responsibility, non-violent communication, equal energetic exchange, and adequate compensation. What does that actually look like? We don’t use products that contain questionable chemicals or harmful ingredients. We don’t gossip about other people. And we don’t engage in emotionally charged or controversial conversation topics like politics, religion or your toxic ex.
